TERMS AND CONDITIONS – STORIE

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Storie, a trading name of Rebekah Kane, a sole trader registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"), to you ("Client", "you", "your"). By booking, purchasing, or participating in any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. ABOUT US
Storie is a personal development and coaching service offering subconscious breakthrough coaching, group coaching, corporate coaching, book clubs, and in-person events.
All services are provided by Rebekah Kane operating as a sole trader in the UK.
2. SERVICES PROVIDED
We offer the following services:
1:1 Subconscious Breakthrough Coaching
Group Coaching Sessions
Corporate Coaching Services
Online Book Clubs
In-Person Book Events
All services are delivered either online or in-person as specified at the time of booking.
3. ELIGIBILITY
By using our services, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years old
You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract
You take full responsibility for your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing
4. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
Storie provides coaching and personal development services only.
We are not medical professionals, therapists, psychologists, or licensed healthcare providers
Our services do not constitute medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Techniques used (including journalling, visualisation, and EFT) may involve exploring emotions, memories, or subconscious patterns, which can be intense or uncomfortable
By engaging in our services, you acknowledge and agree that:
You participate voluntarily and at your own risk
You are responsible for seeking appropriate professional support if needed
You will not use our services as a substitute for professional medical or mental health care
5. PAYMENT TERMS
All individual sessions and group services must be paid in full upfront at the time of booking
Corporate services will be invoiced and must be paid in full prior to delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing
Failure to pay may result in cancellation of your booking
All payments are non-transferable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY
6.1 1:1 Coaching Sessions
You may reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before your session
Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will incur a 15% non-refundable deposit fee
Cancellations within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable and non-transferable
We reserve the right to reschedule sessions where necessary
6.2 Group Coaching
Bookings are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
We reserve the right to reschedule sessions where necessary
6.3 Corporate Coaching
Sessions may be rescheduled free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled date
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the session will incur a 50% cancellation fee
Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable
We reserve the right to reschedule sessions where necessary
6.4 Online Book Clubs
Bookings are non-refundable
Access is provided for the duration specified at purchase
We reserve the right to reschedule sessions where necessary
6.5 In-Person Events
All tickets are strictly non-refundable
If you cannot attend, no refund or credit will be issued
We reserve the right to reschedule sessions where necessary
7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
By participating in any service, you agree to:
Engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants
Take full responsibility for your own wellbeing during and after sessions
Inform us in advance of any conditions that may affect your participation
We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, inappropriate, or harmful, without refund.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation
We do not guarantee any specific results or outcomes from our services
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in question
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All materials provided during sessions, events, or programmes (including worksheets, frameworks, and content) remain the intellectual property of Storie.
You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, or share materials without written permission
Use materials for commercial purposes
10. CONFIDENTIALITY
We respect your privacy and will keep your information confidential unless:
Disclosure is required by law
There is a risk of harm to yourself or others
In group settings, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Participants are encouraged to respect each other's privacy.
11. DATA PROTECTION
We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK GDPR and EU GDPR laws.
Your data will be used solely for:
Delivering services
Communication related to bookings
Legal and administrative purposes
12. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Illness
Technical failures
Venue issues
Natural disasters
In such cases, sessions may be rescheduled.
13. INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
We provide services globally. By booking, you agree that:
These Terms are governed by UK law
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
14. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.
